Does the hostel have a pool?

Yes! We have a stunning rooftop pool with panoramic views of Oaxaca’s mountains and cityscape. The pool area is one of the most popular spots at Maka — perfect for relaxing, meeting fellow travelers, and enjoying the warm Oaxacan sun.

What’s included in the stay?

Your stay includes access to all common areas (rooftop pool, bar, lounge, kitchen, games room), free Wi-Fi throughout the property, weekly family dinners, access to our activity program, and our friendly staff available 24/7 to help you make the most of Oaxaca.

Do you organize day trips?

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available depending on availability — just contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Maka Hostel welcomes guests of all ages. However, our social atmosphere and activities are primarily designed for travelers aged 18 and above. We want to make sure everyone can fully enjoy the Maka experience!

Where exactly is Maka Hostel located?

We’re located in the heart of Oaxaca’s historic center — just a few blocks from Mercado 20 de Noviembre, the Zócalo, and Santo Domingo Church. Everything is walkable from our door, making us the perfect base for exploring the city.
